Description
StellarSan Sanitiser 500ml is a concentrated, high-foaming no-rinse sanitiser for brewing equipment and suitable surfaces. Use it after thoroughly cleaning your equipment and before the equipment comes into contact with your brew.
The concentrated formula uses only 1.5ml per litre of water, making the 500ml bottle suitable for preparing approximately 333 litres of sanitising solution when mixed at the recommended rate.
Clean Before Sanitising
Always clean your brewing equipment before sanitising. Remove debris, food particles and other visible residue from the surface first.
For equipment with organic residue or build-up, clean with StellarClean Powerful Brewery Wash 1kg. Rinse the equipment thoroughly with potable water after cleaning, then use StellarSan as the sanitising step.
This gives you a straightforward brewing equipment care routine:
StellarClean → rinse → StellarSan → sanitise.
Mixing & Directions
Dilute StellarSan at:
1.5ml per 1 litre of water
For convenient measuring:
- 7.5ml makes 5L
- 15ml makes 10L
- 30ml makes 20L
- 45ml makes 30L
Apply the prepared solution using a cloth, sponge, spray, mop or by immersing the equipment.
Once the solution has completely coated the surface, keep the surface wet for a minimum contact time of 1 minute.
When correctly diluted, the solution provides 300ppm of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid and 780ppm of phosphoric acid.
High-Foaming No-Rinse Sanitiser
StellarSan produces foam as part of its formulation. When correctly diluted and used according to the product directions, StellarSan works as a no-rinse sanitiser.
Its foaming action helps the solution cover surfaces throughout fermenters and other suitable brewing equipment.
Suitable Materials
StellarSan is suitable for stainless steel. However, do not use StellarSan on:
- Aluminium
- Copper
- Brass
- Wood
- Unglazed porcelain
- Other porous materials

Important Safety Information
DANGER: Corrosive. Causes eye damage and skin burns. Harmful if swallowed, absorbed through the skin or inhaled.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wear suitable protective clothing and rubber gloves when handling the concentrate.
Do not mix StellarSan with chlorine-based sanitisers or chlorinated cleaners.
